Ribbon Cutting

Owners Danny & Margie Smoake officially cut the ribbon to open The Elephant Trunk for business.

Community Gathers for Opening

Local folk gather for the official opening of The Elephant Trunk.  We were so grateful for the outpouring of support from our community.

Shoppers Browsing

Shoppers browsing and making their selection of that special item that speaks to them.

19th Century Spinning Wheel

Here's a number of items spanning more than a hundred years.  In the foreground is an example of a late 1800's spinning wheel.

Grandpa & Grandson Shopping

These two had a blast checking out all the unique items in the store.  Some things they couldn't leave without!

Can't Live Without This!

More friends helping the cause of the start up of a new business.  Yes, this friend quickly became a good customer...thanks!

Here's Looking at you Babe

Reflections into the past...we have a nice selection of mirrors.

Chalk Painted Vanity

On occasion we get an old vanity in.  This one we breathed new life into it by having it chalk painted in this french vanilla color.

Elephants, Of Course!

It goes without saying that we make a point to carry elephant decor.  They can range from wall hangings, tapestries, figurines, jewelry, etc.

Duncan Phyfe

This particular sofa was upholstered in a soft lavender fabric. Unique and precious.

Old Mantel

From time to time we get a fireplace mantel in the store.  This one was beautifully aged with just enough paint chipping off to make its personality a must to have.

Victorian Sofa

This gorgeous Victorian sofa was in immaculate condition--no tears, no chips or cracks--just simply perfect.  The dusty rose colored fabric gave it a stately look.

Unique Clock Table

Oak Table with Thrush Seat Chairs

Stained Glass Butterfly

Rustic Collection

We have an entire wall covered with an array of rustic, primitive & vintage tools and kitchen utensils. A hodge-podge of memories!  Scattered throughout the store are old milk cans, oil cans, watering cans, ceramic crocks, and more.

We love it when we stumble on unique cabinetry.  Some items we've stocked range from old sewing cabinets, album cabinets, pie safes, converted sewing machine name it...we try to get it!

Chairs & Settees

We've had seating from wicker side chairs, antique & mid-century rockers, Victorian & Duncan Phyfe sofas, vintage settees, and more.  You never know what we'll get in--the possibilities are endless!
